Victoria Okppik is originally from Quaqtaq. She now lives in Montreal. She was the first Inuk to graduate in Fashion Design from LaSalle College in Montreal. For many years, she has made parkas for the Arctic Winter and Summer Games.

Her clothing is a mix of traditional Inuit style and contemporary fashion. Her parkas, pualuuk (mitts), and purses are worn throughout Nunavik and Nunavut. Some of her designs have been worn by prominent artists like Elisapie Issac. Some of her work has even been worn in space by Canadian astronaut and physician David Saint-Jacques.
