Competency 1 Task Cards
Task cards are a great way to focus student learning on specific aspects related to the organization of a society on its territory (Competency 1). They can be used for independent work, centers, test prep and more. Below is a Teacher’s Guide explaining different ways to use task cards in Elementary Social Sciences.
We have created six sets of task cards. Each task card focuses on learning points outlined in the Quebec Elementary Social Sciences Program and Progression of Learning for the specified societies and periods. Each set of cards comes with student recording sheets and a response guide that students can use to correct their answers to the tasks or as independent reference material to review concepts.
You can access the task cards, responses, and recording tools for the six societies via the pages below. You can make copies of the documents and edit them to suit your student’s needs. You can also create new task cards with your students!
